Oscars 2014: hot to trot

As you will know, the Oscars took place on 2nd March and the turn out was as usual, all glamour and fabulousness. My heart did break a little when Leo lost out on the oscar yet again, but the competition  this year was extremely tough! And Ellen handing out pizza in the audience? A truly bold move to spark some humour, I bet that pizza guy didn't know what to do with himself.

So in tradition, I want to recap the best dresses at the Oscars 2014.

1. Lupita Nyong'o looked pretty in Prada. The colour and fit of this dress is beautiful she looks so great. So happy for her big win as well, you go girl!

2. Jennifer Lawrence wore Dior to the Oscars once again, and she took a little tumble on the red carpet which all made us think back to that moment last year. Ever still the clumsy bubbly girl we all fell in love with when she first appeared on our screens.

3. I loved how Naomi Watts accessorised her Calvin Klein ice beaded dress with the Bulgari necklace. It added that extra spice that made her outfit an edgy fashion statement.

4. Kate Hudson wins my vote for having not one but two gorgeous dresses on the night. The first with a daringly low neckline and the beautiful detailing of the second at the Vanity Fair after party. Top marks! Plus, when you wear a Versace dress to the oscars and a Zuhair Murad number to the after party, you're on to a winner.

5. And the last of my top five was the Cushnie et Ochs pastel blue number worn at the Vanity Fair after party by the lovely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I love cut-out dresses and this one is no exception to my love of the style. It's sophisticated and elegant, yet it has that daring, sexy look to it as well.

Last but not least there is one more thing from the Oscars that is my favourite.

Which is of course the Oscar selfie that Ellen tweeted on the night. I love Kevin Spacey's face in the background!
